Genospace is looking for a Product Owner who can deeply understand and advocate for the needs of our users, as well as coordinate the fulfillment of those needs through agile product development and user experience (UX) research. As a Product Owner, you will bring strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to our organization. In this role you will represent the voice of the user, working closely with product leadership, UX, and engineering teams to help define and execute the product vision. Your focus will be on our Data and Analytics applications as we look to expand our services and offerings in this area through new product development.
As a remote position, we are looking for someone with excellent collaboration skills and an ability to demonstrate productivity in a remote environment.

As a Product Owner you will:

  • Act as a stakeholder for the product and represent the “voice of the customer” internally
  • Participate in the development of business use cases, user personas, and needs assessment studies to elicit product requirements and inform product design and development through user research
  • Translate product requirements into agile user stories and guide prioritization of the product backlog
  • Define user acceptance criteria to facilitate validation of implemented solutions
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies within the agile development framework, including grooming of the product backlog, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives
  • Collaborate with product leaders, UX, and development teams to organize tasks within a project, coordinate product schedules and delivery timelines, and test and bring features to successful release
  • Receive hands-on experience maintaining 21 CFR Part 11 validation standards
  • Build subject matter expertise around the product line and relevant industry trends
  • Develop strong relationships and communication with all teams involved in executing a project, including internal stakeholders and users of the product
  • Iterate on product releases through analyzing user metrics (quantitative) and feedback (qualitative) to bring forward new feature ideas
  • Facilitate application deployments to new or existing clients
What We’re Looking For:

  • Cursory knowledge of the industry landscape and biomedical domain, with an emphasis on healthcare data and analytics.
  • A strong willingness to learn demonstrated through asking questions, seeking out guidance, and building communication skills with teammates
  • Working knowledge of the software development process, with an emphasis on Agile development methodologies, and various tools used to support this process (e.g., Jira, Google Analytics)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in all aspects of the job, including meeting facilitation, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • An ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong collaboration skills and a solution-oriented mindset
  • An ability to work productively in a remote environment
 Education & Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of product ownership, management or business analytics experience (or equivalent) is preferred, such as creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience in life sciences or healthcare is preferred, but ample curiosity and a willingness to learn are a must
