Mobile Heartbeat is currently seeking a motivated and highly organized Intern for Fall 2021 to help with tradeshow planning, coordination, and general marketing operations. This internship will include hands-on experience with overseeing the entire tradeshow planning process- from registration to execution and follow-up. They will also have the opportunity to travel to one of the events that they plan in order to fully experience the end result. In addition to planning tradeshows, the Intern will also have the opportunity to shadow and help with social media, email content creation, customer marketing, internal communications, and other events such as webinars and internal company-wide events.

This is a 6-month, 40-hour per week internship for the Fall 2021. This is a paid internship.

What you will do:

  • Oversee coordination and logistics of 3-5 tradeshows in Q4 (October-December): tradeshow registration, placement on website (set up in Salesforce, Pardot & WordPress) social media marketing, rep registration, shipping of exhibit material and literature, send detailed communications to on-site reps, follow up emails to leads & lead upload 
  • Execute all events within a given budget and track all spending in excel spreadsheet
  • Travel to 1 or 2 tradeshows
  • Research to help us figure out what tradeshows to attend in 2022
  • Assist with marketing at new customer deployments: creating handouts, shipping materials, etc.
  • Social media marketing and creation of social campaigns
  • Execution of monthly company newsletters
  • Monthly customer newsletter
  • Monthly partner newsletter
  • Ability to help pack materials for shipping to tradeshows and carry boxes (~15-20lbs) on occasion 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High school graduate
  • College student currently working towards an associate or bachelors degree in marketing
  • Willingness to travel to 1 or 2 tradeshows for up to 3 days domestically
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized, driven, proactive, flexible, ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail, ability to stick to timelines and meet given deadlines
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn new things while also being open, creative and not afraid to make suggestions
