Overview

PatientKeeper, a leading provider of healthcare applications for physicians, is now part of HCA, the largest provider of healthcare services in the U.S.  With growth comes new opportunity, so we are searching for a Software Developer to join our development team.

The team develops and maintains a unique suite of applications that physicians use to take care of their patients.  What’s so unique?  In an industry where EMRs are viewed by many physicians as barrier to care, physicians love their PatientKeeper.  Our applications are based on modern UI and technology standards (Java Stack, Native Swift iOS, Native Java Android). 

Core Responsibilities

• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
• Systematic problem-solving, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
• Has a passion for or a strong desire to learn AWS
• Takes great personal pride in building robust software
• Prefer working in an agile team-based environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in Java, C/C++, Objective C, Flutter, or JavaScript
• Cloud technology and methodologies, especially GCP
• Familiarity with FHIR Services will be plus
• DataFlow/Apache Beam
• Implementing Streaming Analytics Pipeline using Google DataFlow
• Proficiency with JUnit and other unit testing frameworks
• Familiarity with XML (XDS, XPath, XSLT) and JSON
• Good understanding of NoSQL and relational databases
• 5 years of recent, hands-on experience, preferably in a high-volume environment, building scalable web/mobile application that leveraged a cloud stack
• Familiarity with Web Services and RESTful architecture principles

Desired Skills:

• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
• Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with a micro-services architecture (such as Istio)
• Experience transitioning architectures to the cloud
